Jon Biggs
Partner
Jon is a Partner at Top Tier Capital Partners (Top Tier) and leads the team in London. He focuses on manager selection, due diligence, and investment monitoring of Top Tier’s primary investments in Europe as well as contributing to the firm’s capital formation efforts.
Jon has spent 22 years in the European venture capital ecosystem as both a GP and an LP. As a result, he has a unique perspective having seen the European market mature so significantly over the last two decades. He joined Top Tier from SVB Capital where he was building out a European focused funds strategy. Prior to that, he spent 20 years at Accel in London as Chief Operating Officer. He was one of the first hires in 2001 and saw the firm through 6 fund raises before finally leaving in 2021.
He spent the first decade of his career in the financial services industry, including spending time at AXA Investment Managers and Deutsche Bank. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PWC in London having graduated from the University of Bristol.
Jon is an advisor to Chrysalis Investments, a UK publicly quoted growth fund and is a patron of Tusk Trust, a charity focused on African wildlife conservation.
Jon lives outside of London with his family, dogs and a domesticated tortoise. When not trying to keep up with his kids IT skills or staying one step ahead of their homework, he can usually be found enjoying his passions of cricket, rugby, open fire cooking and red wine, although not yet all at the same time.
