Tom Beach

Prior to joining TTCP in 2023, Tom served for sixteen years as a senior officer in the U.S. Intelligence Community, where he was recognized as an expert in foreign supply chains and dual‑use technologies. His work spanned counterproliferation, counternarcotics, and covert action, and he regularly briefed senior U.S. and foreign policymakers. Tom led crisis‑driven analytic and operational teams and earned more than 30 individual and unit awards, including several of the Intelligence Community’s highest honors.   Before entering government service, Tom built over a decade of experience in the financial industry as an investment banker, private equity investor, and venture capitalist, including a prior role with TTCP’s predecessor firm, Paul Capital.   Tom holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Princeton University. He is also a Strategy and Statecraft Fellow with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).   He lives in the Washington, D.C. area with his wife and two daughters. A retired soccer and lacrosse player, Tom remains actively involved in coaching and supporting his girls’ athletic pursuits. His personal interests include outdoor adventures, travel, history and science reading, acoustic guitar, foreign languages, and amateur film criticism (2,300 films and counting).
