Sean Engel
General Partner, Chief Investment Officer
Sean is a General Partner, the Chief Investment Officer, and a member of the Investment Committee at Top Tier Capital Partners (TTCP). He has fifteen-plus years of industry experience and leads the execution of TTCP’s investment strategies. Sean is currently a board observer for several of TTCP’s co-investment portfolio companies.
Sean joined TTCP’s predecessor firm Paul Capital in 2010.
He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley. During his time at Berkeley, Sean was an Academic All-Pac-10 Varsity Crew member, a member of the Under-23 National Rowing Team in 2009, and a Varsity 8+ IRA National Champion in 2010. Sean remains involved with his alma mater, sitting on the board of the Friends of Cal Crew.
He and his wife recently welcomed their first child. Their dog, who they enjoy spoiling as often as possible, is happy to have a brother. Sean enjoys spending time with friends, golfing, and working out.
He actively supports Team IMPACT - an organization that helps young children with chronic illnesses.
