Eric has 31 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been involved in the private equity investment community for the past twenty-one years. His broad industry knowledge, insights and network, make him a value-added investor in venture across all sectors, stages and geographies.
Over the past 20 years, Eric has invested in private equity as an institutional limited partner, managing assets for large insurance companies like Liberty Mutual and MetLife, as well as for other funds of funds, representing in aggregate over $7 billion in commitments and backing 200+ managers. Most recently at MetLife, he served as the Head of Domestic Private Equity, a program representing $6.0 billion in U.S. private equity exposure, including $1.0 billion to venture capital as of 2017. He has additional fund investing experience as a Partner with Thomas Weisel Global Growth Partners and the Private Equity Markets Group at Liberty Mutual. Eric has an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a B.S. in economics from Union College.
Eric lives on the South Shore of Massachusetts with his wife and two children. While he loves watching his kids play sports, he's been known to get reprimanded for "coaching from the sidelines". He also enjoys the local seashore, hiking, biking, golf, and skiing. As a born-and-raised New Englander, Eric is a huge Boston sports fan. His favorite meal is a good steak paired with a great red wine.
