Brendan Baker

Head of Legal and Compliance

Brendan joined Top Tier in 2023 as Head of Legal and Compliance, where he is responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of TTCP, including investments, fundraising activity, and regulatory compliance.

Before joining Top Tier, Brendan was Senior Corporate Counsel at Redmile Group. Earlier in his career, he was an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett on the private funds team.

Brendan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English. While at UPenn, he walked on to the Varsity Rowing Team. He stayed at UPenn for law school, earning a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. He also earned a Master in Economic Law degree from Sciences Po in Paris.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys hiking in Marin County with his wife, young daughter, and goldendoodle. He also loves to travel, especially to wine growing regions around the world.
