Michelle Ashworth

Michelle is a Partner at Top Tier Capital Partners (Top Tier) and is a senior leader on the London team. She is a member of the Funds team, focusing primarily on fund investments in Europe & Asia. Michelle also contributes to the firm’s capital formation efforts in Europe.
Michelle has been investing in venture funds across the US, Europe and Asia for 25 years. Prior to joining Top Tier, Michelle was Head of Venture at the Church Commissioners for England, the Church of England’s investment fund, where she launched the endowment’s venture programme and built a concentrated portfolio of top tier US, European and Asian managers. Michelle also built a portfolio of emerging venture managers across Africa and South Asia at BII (formerly known as the CDC group), the UK’s development finance institution. Michelle started her career at VenCap, a UK-based venture-focused fund-of-funds, where she was Director of Fund Investments.
Michelle is an alumnus of INSEAD and has a Diploma in Financial Strategy from the Said Business School at The University of Oxford Michelle was awarded an MPhil(Sc) in Pure Mathematics and a BA(Hons) in Mathematics from The University of Birmingham.
Michelle loves being outdoors and spends most of her time in the Lake District, where she can be found walking, running and climbing. She is a supporter of Lymphoma Action and her local Mountain Rescue Team.
